VALVE TI
VALVE TI
The VALVE TI are premium titanium engine valves engineered for the highest RPM and most thermally demanding racing applications. Titanium valves offer significant weight savings over stainless steel -- typically 40% lighter -- reducing the reciprocating mass of the valvetrain and allowing higher RPM operation with lower spring pressures.
CNC-machined from 6AL-4V titanium bar stock, these valves feature a precision-ground head diameter with a hard-chromed stem for wear resistance in conventional valve guides. The valve face features a 45-degree seat angle with an undercut stem for improved flow at low lift. The tip is selectively hardened for compatibility with mechanical and hydraulic roller lifters. Each valve is individually inspected for concentricity, stem straightness, and surface finish. The titanium construction reduces valve weight by approximately 40% compared to stainless steel, significantly reducing reciprocating mass.
Titanium valves allow the use of lower spring pressures while maintaining the same valve float margin as heavier stainless valves. This reduces friction, valvetrain wear, and camshaft lobe loading. The 6AL-4V alloy provides excellent high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance, making these valves suitable for sustained high-RPM operation in both naturally aspirated and forced induction applications. The hard-chromed stem surface provides excellent wear characteristics in conventional cast iron or bronze valve guides without the need for guide liners.
Titanium valves are the standard for professional racing and serious high-RPM street builds. Combined with titanium retainers and quality valve springs, they allow 8,000+ RPM operation with reduced risk of valve float and component fatigue. Order your VALVE TI for the ultimate valvetrain upgrade.
