The MSD Ignition 8379 Pro-Billet Crank Trigger Distributor combines the timing accuracy of a crank trigger system with the convenience of a distributor-mounted pickup — the best of both worlds for small-block Chevrolet race engines. It eliminates spark scatter from timing chain slack by referencing the crankshaft directly through the distributor drive.

This distributor features a billet steel housing with a precision-ground shaft supported by dual ball bearings. The integrated crank trigger wheel is factory-phased to the magnetic pickup for a precise 60-degree trigger signal. The unit spins on sealed ball bearings rated for continuous 10,000 RPM operation. It includes fully adjustable mechanical and vacuum advance systems with MSD's quick-change spring and bushing kit. The cap is MSD's Pro-Cap with brass terminals rated for up to 300-amp ignition output.
