Frequently Asked Questions

Can my 2015-2020 GMC Canyon handle the weight of this Fab Fours winch bumper without suspension upgrades?

The Fab Fours Premium Winch Pre-Runner bumper for your 2015-2020 Canyon adds approximately 130 to 160 pounds depending on whether you choose the matte black powdercoat or bare steel finish. This weight is manageable with the factory suspension for daily driving, but upgrading to heavier front springs or a leveling kit is recommended for off-road use. The bumper is constructed from 3/16-inch steel plate with a 2-piece mounting system that allows for adjustment to achieve perfect fitment. The grille loop uses 2-inch diameter tubing for protection. A winch mount is integrated directly into the bumper structure.

What size winch can I fit inside this Fab Fours Premium Pre-Runner bumper on my Canyon?

This Fab Fours Premium Winch Pre-Runner bumper is designed to accommodate most standard winch sizes up to a 12,000-pound capacity for your 2015-2020 GMC Canyon. The integrated winch mount is built into the 3/16-inch steel plate structure, so there is no need for a separate winch cradle or plate. The bumper is available in either a 2-stage matte black powdercoat finish or bare steel if you plan to paint it yourself. The 2-piece mounting system gives you adjustability during installation to align the bumper perfectly with your Canyon's body lines. The winch sits behind the grille loop for a clean

Does the Fab Fours Premium Winch Pre-Runner bumper come with hardware for installation on my Canyon?

Yes, the Fab Fours Premium Winch Pre-Runner bumper for the 2015-2020 GMC Canyon includes all necessary mounting hardware and brackets for a complete installation. The 2-piece mounting system uses heavy-duty steel brackets that bolt to your truck's frame rails with grade 8 hardware. The bumper is designed to accommodate the factory fog lights with steel mesh-protected cutouts. Installation typically takes 2 to 4 hours with basic hand tools, a torque wrench, and a helper to position the heavy steel bumper. The matte black powdercoat finish is durable and UV-resistant for long-term outdoor exposure.

Will this Fab Fours winch bumper interfere with my Canyon's parking sensors or camera?

This Fab Fours Premium Winch Pre-Runner bumper is designed for the 2015-2020 GMC Canyon and may require relocation of factory parking sensors if your truck is equipped with them. The bumper's steel mesh and tubing structure does not have dedicated cutouts for factory sensors, so you may need aftermarket sensor relocation brackets. The front camera, if equipped, will likely need to be repositioned to maintain its field of view over the taller bumper profile. We recommend having a professional installer handle the sensor and camera relocation to ensure proper alignment and function. The bumper's aggressive off-road stance is designed to

How does the 2-stage matte black powdercoat finish hold up against off-road scratches and rock chips?

The Fab Fours Premium Winch Pre-Runner bumpers come in either a 2-stage matte black powdercoat or bare steel finish. The matte black powdercoat is baked on for excellent adhesion and provides good resistance against scratches from light brush and trail debris. Heavy rock impacts may chip the coating, at which point the bare steel option is easier to touch up with spray paint. The bare steel version allows you to apply your own finish or leave it natural and treat it with a clear coat for a raw industrial look. Both options use 3/16-inch steel plate construction that will not
