ALUMINUM DRIVESHAFT (SPECS)
ALUMINUM DRIVESHAFT (SPECS)
The Inland Empire Driveline Aluminum Custom Driveshaft is a lightweight, high-strength upgrade for performance cars and trucks up to 600 HP. Engineered for LS-swapped muscle cars, street/strip cars, and high-performance trucks, this one-piece aluminum shaft eliminates the carrier bearing while cutting weight by up to 40%.
Fabricated from 6061-T6 aluminum tubing in 3.5-inch or 4.0-inch diameters with 0.125-inch wall thickness, each shaft is CNC-machined to length. Yokes are 7075-T6 aluminum or chromoly steel depending on application, with 1350-series u-joints available for high-torque builds. Dynamic balancing to 0.3 oz-in at 6,000 RPM ensures vibration-free operation. Weight savings range from 8 to 15 pounds compared to steel.
Less rotational mass means the engine accelerates faster—you'll feel it in quicker revs through the gears and reduced load on the transmission output shaft. Aluminum also dampens high-frequency vibrations better than steel. Inland Empire's custom process ensures a perfect fit for your specific wheelbase, transmission position, and pinion angle.
Drop rotational mass and gain performance with an Inland Empire aluminum driveshaft. Order your custom-length shaft now.
