aFe Twisted Steel Turbo Downpipes

aFe Twisted Steel turbo downpipes (Downpipes) replace the restrictive factory downpipe section with a smoother larger-diameter path for exhaust gases leaving the turbocharger. For turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines the downpipe is a critical bottleneck upgrading it reduces backpressure lowers EGTs by 50-100°F and improves turbo spool response by 300-500 rpm. The twisted steel design incorporates smooth transitions rather than sharp bends for maximum flow.

Constructed from mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel in a 2.5-inch diameter depending on the application. Each downpipe includes oxygen sensor bungs EGT probe ports and flanges for direct fitment. The 304 stainless construction withstands extreme temperatures and the corrosive environment of the turbo outlet. The mandrel bends maintain consistent internal diameter through every turn unlike crush-bent alternatives. Gains of 10-20 hp and 15-25 lb-ft of torque are typical.
