The aFe Twisted Steel headers (48-34148-T) deliver a tuned exhaust pulse for improved scavenging across the power band. Designed as a direct-fit upgrade for modern performance sedans and coupes these headers are constructed from mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel primary tubes with CNC-machined flanges. The twisted runner geometry optimizes cylinder-to-cylinder flow balance producing gains of 15-25 hp and 12-18 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. The design focuses on real-world torque improvements rather than peak number chasing.

Primary tube diameters range from 1.625 to 1.875 inches depending on application with 3/8-inch thick laser-cut flanges that resist warping under heat cycles. Each header is fully TIG-welded and backpurged for clean penetration. Handles sustained temperatures exceeding 1,200°F without scaling. Emissions-compliant versions include O2 sensor bungs in the correct locations for plug-and-play compatibility with factory engine management.
