40 SERIES DELTA FLOW MUFFLER

Flowmaster 40 Series mufflers (40) deliver the iconic chambered sound that defined the muscle car era and remains the gold standard for aggressive exhaust tone. The 40 Series uses Flowmaster's patented Delta Flow technology to produce a deep aggressive idle with a pronounced crackle on deceleration. The aggressive tone is unmistakable at idle and builds to a controlled roar under full throttle. Not recommended for towing or diesel applications due to interior resonance at highway speeds.

Constructed from 16-gauge aluminized steel with fully welded chambers. Delta Flow technology uses one tuned chamber to cancel drone frequencies while a second chamber produces the signature aggressive tone. Available in 2.25 and 2.5-inch inlet/outlet configurations with center designs for various chassis layouts. Internal flow paths are engineered for big-block V8 displacement ranges.
